Our Experience

I have worked at Kingerlee in the Joinery Department for
almost 6 3/4 years. I made doors, windows, cupboards and
occasional site work of installing of adjusting items
made in the workshop, this really gave me a deep
satisfaction.

While at Kingerlee I undertook a qualification
in Bench Joinery to update my Australian
qualifications in Carpentry & Joinery. My Australian
experience included being employed as a Joiner in a
workshop, as well as being self employed carpenter for
2-3 years.

Currently, I am now self employed and am enjoying the
joys and responsibilities this brings.

Images of Our Work

Pullen Lane Cupboards, while working for Kingerlee Joinery.
This was seating for Begbroke
Science Park that I created while working at Kingerlee Joinery. Each section was about 1.8m long and fitted together in a half oval shape in their courtyard for workers.
This was a Spandrel cupboard for a private customer to hold the shoes.
These planter boxes were for Cantay House, while working at Kingerlee Joinery
The customer who bought this
apartment wanted timber edging
around the glass handrail and the round balusters. I had to make up the cover strips for the floor & also the balusters & fit them, While at Kingerlee Joinery
This is other side of the stairs where I made up the cover strips for the floor, while at Kingerlee Joinery.
This Oak Door and frame was
created while employed by
Kingerlee. It has clear glass in the frame, the only difference is with the original lead lights as this has glass front and back for security and ease of cleaning.
These windows needed to be
repainted inside and out. This
matches with image 14 to provide the downstairs.
please see Image 13 for details
These windows were in
DESPARATE need of some TLC,
including the garage. I even
included painting the hinges
black to make sure the job was
done properly. see images 15-19
This image matches with images 15-
19.
This bay window REALLY needed to be
replaced, but due to the cost and
surface rot it was thought best to
remove the outside of the bottom
rail and stick a new face on to
make it last a bit longer (Feb
2011) (see 15-19)
This is the downstairs to 15-19
piece of work
I also repainted the boarding on
both sides of the porch.
This ballutrading was made to
protect their young child from
falling down the stairs. And
because it automatically locks when
it shuts it is safe if you have
your hands full.
This cupboard was built in the
lounge room for the TV. The client
had old doors already and provided
me with a picture to build
something similar.
This is related to Image 2o
The shelves above are unconnected
to the cupboard. These are put
straight on to the wall, to the
customers design. See image 21
This is an external corner of the ceiling shelves I built in Oxford city.
This is an internal corner, where the architrave from the floor is planed to fit the wall, of which this was a victorian house with lathern plaster walls.
This is a unique quirk with 1 set of these shelves. The power point here is in the way of the shelves but I cut around the power point and fixed it very securely onto the wall, so that it didn't touch the power point but was a close fit.
This is what finished shelves looked like. This was made up in 2 parts and lifted up and screwed together. Where I then screwed the shelves to the ceiling on a 2x1 that I had previously screwed to the ceiling.
These are some shelves I did. It originally was a single doorway into a wardrobe. I widened the door way to allow for 2 600mm wide doors if the customer desired to put these on at a later date
Along with doing the shelves with toys on them. Notice above as well. I filled in above the door mould the frame into the spandrel, under the stairs.
Along with doing the shelves with toys on them. I made a door jamb for under the stairs and cut the bottom off the door to hang here.
But after the roof above had been redone. I cut the corrogated sheeting for the side to fit between the roof and the white plastic VJ Boarding.
This one had a hole under the eaves for birds. I filled this in as well as fixed the fascia that was rotten on the corner that is seen in photo. See Photo further on.
This is the Front door which previously only had a fence between the gate and the front door. This protects the front door and the security light above from getting wet and rotting or shorting out.
This is the front of the flat where I painted the Fascia, Eaves & Guttering.
This is the bottom of the stairs where I put in a new handrail for the customer. They As well I had to fix the landing as seen in the photo showing what I had to start with.
This is the completed handrail looking up the stairs. You will see the landing handrail in the background. Also the plastering behind the top of the spindles at the top of the stairs and the corner on the wall as seen.
This is looking from the top of the landing where the 2 handrails meet.
This is originally what I had to start with. The customer removed the wall paper on the original handrail and eventually removed the rest of the handrail and part of the landing.
This is the bottom of the Empire Door Frame that I made to the customers design
This shows the thickness of the door frame. Which was made up to cover the timber work above and to replace a sliding door which needed replacing
This shows the top panel and beading in the door frame and the nosing at the top covering the plastic widow cill above.
As this is the top half showing the panel and door closed
This was a desk I made to go into the chimney brest. This customer is a family member from a previous customer. Notice the bottom is smaller than the top due to the bottom having to fit within the central heating pipes.
As with the desk above this was all real Oak.(AWO)These shelves were to fit between 2 walls with architraves around & a decorative moulding above.
Here you can see the decorative moulding breaking up the uneven ceiling.
NACPRO Solutions41
This desk under the stairs was designed to be spacious and airy, without the usual confinements that under stairs
The customer needed to be able access their computer more often due to an increase of workload. Notice too, the little shelf above the desk to hold smaller items
The desk included a space for a chair to slide under and a cut out for the back to allow the power cable to go through and Brush Plates on the shelf and Desk top to allow computer cables.
This is a particular sized TV & entertainment shelves. Designed to fit the play console & the games on shelves above.
A tall cupboard on the other side of the chimney brest to house sports gear and other things to keep in a tidy & organized place. Notice the beading on the doors to match existing fire place
The window bench was to give more space to put things away and more space for visitors to sit.
another view of the TV cupboard. Notice the beading to fit in with existing fireplace & tall cupboard. This cupboard, the Tall cupboard & the bench were all painted by myself to the customers high quality standards.
