Electric shower not working, says pressure too low

Our electric shower has suddnely stopped working, the indicator says the pressure is too low so it switches itself off.
Nothing has changed in the house regerding the water pressure that we are aware, would we need a plumber or an electrician to sort this out?
Or does it sound like we need a new shower? Its only a few years old.
