Had a total bathroom refit but been left with an unpainted ceiling.

Posted by Sarah Hibbert, on
I am having by bathroom done. It been completely gutted, retiled, new bath, toilet, shower enclosure put in etc. the full works basically. The ceiling has been plastered but I am told it is not normal for them to paint it as well. I'm now facing having to paint the ceiling with drips, splashes of paint going over my new riles and suite. Is this normal practice? If so I don't mind, but it just seems strange to me, though it would go without saying that it needs to be painted...

Sarah, They are right, most Bathroom Fitters will arrange all work required except painting. If the quote did not state that painting was included, then it is not. But in all honesty when we are doing this kind of work, we allow a day after bathroom striped out and plastered/skim for the customer to paint ceilings, etc. Then we would continue to tile, fit sanitary ware, etc. Bill Pipe Dreams Plumbing Services Bournemouth (Tel; Bournemouth 512121)
