How to have a glass wall side to a shower with a sloping ceiling?

Posted by Lucy Cox, on
We have a shower in the corner of our bathroom. It a cubicle with wall on 3 sides, curtain on the 4th. It is small and gets mildew so we'd like to replace the temporary wall with glass. This has been problematic as the bathroom has a sloping ceiling with the lowest point at 2m. It appears that all offerings at DIY stores are over 2m. A glass specialist told me they could provide the glass but not the fixtures and fittings and advised me to get these first. A bathroom specialist then told me that its difficult to buy fixtures and fittings as they usually come with the shower cubicle/glass wall. Any advise greatly appreciated.

Hi Lucy, Single glass side screens are available. A quick Google has turned one up that is 1850mm high. This would normally sit on top of the shower tray. A support bar is often available for single screens that attaches onto the wall parallel to the screen to stop it from wobbling. bathrooms.com/8-series-walk-in-shower-screens-755-id-pf-318_panel_800 Have a look on the websites of specific bathroom companies, not DIY outlets and you might find something.more appropriate. Hope this helps. Karl
