Changing from two taps to one tap basin

Posted by Clare Brown, on
We have recently hired a plumber to fit a new bathroom sink. We told him that no changes to pipework would be required, but then found very limited choice when looking for two hole basins (we originally intended to replace like with like). If we go with a one tap hole basin now, will the cost to fit go up? Please note that the reason I'm asking advice here is that the plumber does not have brilliant English and I want to keep things as simple as possible.
