Bathroom suite or floor tiles first?

Posted by Ally Faryl, on
I would be grateful for advice about fitting a new bathroom suite. Following a water leak, my insurance company has agreed to replace the floor tiles in the bathroom floor. However, I would like to replace the bathroom suite. My question is, should I let insurance company replace the floor tiles and then have new suite installed or have new suite installed then have the floor tiles fitted. Thank you very much.

Hello when we do a bathroom the process is remove old suite and make good all walls first fix the pipe work for the new toilet, basin and install the bath then the tiler tiles the whole bathroom and the plumber returns to install wc and basin allowing them to be fitted on top of the tiles. If you only have one wc in the property the new wc can be fitted loose without the cistern and be flushed with a bucket whirl the tiler is doing the floor usually only 1 day hope this helps cheers Ray Trueman plumbing heating & gas
