Do bathroom installers get certified electricians in to route wiring for new electric showers or can they have the necessary skills?

Anyone competent can install the cable, but the connection to the isolator and the fuseboard must be made by an electrical testing qualified tradesperson and a certificate issued. Whoever installs the cable needs to be aware that any shower above 9.5Kw will require a 10mm T&E cable, RCD protection and either a 45Amp or 50amp MCB or RCBO, most other showers below 9.5Kw can be wired in 6mm T&E cable.
