Bathroom Fit Out Advice

Posted by Amy McVey, on
Hi there are a number of jobs that need to take place to complete our bathroom fit out and it's our only bathroom so I want to do the work in the most logical order so that there is minimum time spent without a bathroom. Please can I get some advice on the order of the work required and the tradesmen required for each job. The jobs are: - Remove and replace ceiling (massive crack as it's an old house, so easier to knock out and replace than overboard) - Remove tiles - Strip existing wallpaper - Remove electric shower - Remove dangling pull light switch and add wall light switches - Remove old suite - Fit new suite and including over bath shower (not electric) - Fit ventilation fan (there is not one already) - Fit new lighting (currently centre light, we would want spotlights installed and potentially a new light fitting over the mirror) - Potentially move waste pipe (we've not fully decided on the new layout yet) - Tile/lay floor - Tile walls - Paint walls - Move loft hatch, currently in the bathroom into the floor
