This is known as " crazing" , it happens with a lot of pottery, porcelain and China . It's usually under the surface of the glaze , in some cases it does no harm and will not get worse , but with a sink , where different temperatures can occur suddenly, it may get worse or even crack . It's unlikely that a company would take the sink back if its new as its already fitted , so only option is to ignore it and hope it's ok or buy a new sink and check it before fitting .
