Bathroom sink lines that look like cracks have appeared all over it

Posted by Angie Gourlay, on
You can't feel the lines but it looks as though the sink is cracked, can these be treated to disappear?

This is known as " crazing" , it happens with a lot of pottery, porcelain and China . It's usually under the surface of the glaze , in some cases it does no harm and will not get worse , but with a sink , where different temperatures can occur suddenly, it may get worse or even crack . It's unlikely that a company would take the sink back if its new as its already fitted , so only option is to ignore it and hope it's ok or buy a new sink and check it before fitting . Hope this helps !
