How many people does it take to do a bathroom refit?

Posted by Ray R, on
I am getting quotes for a bathroom refurb and the labour charge is apparently for 2 people. I've been told the job will take 10 days. Is it reasonable that 2 people are required for the full 10 days? Or for only some of the time? I just wanted to check what is reasonable before talking to the fitters. Thank you.

Just to clarify having been fitting bathrooms for 40 years I have found that in an average size bathroom there isn’t enough room for two men to do a days work so it doesn’t really cut the job time in half therefore doesn’t bring it down to 5days

Hi, depending on the work needed a bathroom can be done in 5-10 man days (that would for all works) so maybe 1 man for 10 days at most or 2 men for 5 days etc. but overall upto 10 days of labour at about 150-200 per man per day.

What would you like to do now?
