Painting a bath panel

Posted by Stacey , on
Hi - can someone please tell me what type of paint to use for a bath panel? Easiest method preferred! Went into wickes and they told me to use a kitchen / bathroom cupboard paint (just 2 coats) but someone else has said water based primer (2 coats) then an undercoat, then gloss. I don't like the finish of gloss if you can tell me alternatives! Thanks

Hi Stacey If you need a bath panel painted, from scratch, you will need a primer, undercoat and top coat. If timber a water based primer/undercoat does both jobs quickly then choose your topcoat, sounds like you'd prefer an eggshell finish. I'd cost out replacing with a pre finished panel, a new one might well cost less than the cost of the paint. Kind regards Paul
