Hi Graham, fitting a cat flap is a very straight forward job. As a window, door and conservatory supplier and installer, we fit a lot of cat flaps into doors. The cat flap must be fitted against a flat surface. Most Upvc door panels are 28mm thick and all cat flaps will suit this size. In general cat flaps are fitted into flat 28mm Upvc panels, for instance within the lower panel in a mid-railed back door. Cat flaps can also be fitted into glass, however the glass needs to be specially cut to size prior to this. I would say, anyone with a knowledge of basic joinery, and having a jigsaw and drill, would manage to fit a cat flap. Hope this helps. Rob Saddleworth Window Outlet

Hello Graham, If it is in a upvc panel or glass a window specialist or glazier should be able to do this no problem
