Hi Katie, Electric heater's can go pretty much anywhere in a room, the only thing i would advise against would be having curtain's dangling over them. They would become to much of a fire risk, so avoid that. But normally you would always put a heat source in the coldest part of the room, this way, once this area has warmed up the rest of the room would be upto temperature as well. Hope this help's.
