Board finish

Is it easier to use board finish rather than muilti finish especially on a bear plasterboard as you only need 1 coat rather than 2 coat finish?

The differance between board and multi finish is board finish goes off faster but you still need two coats for best results hope this helps you regards steve

You can use either but multi finish does not dry out as quickly as board finish, myself I would use the multi finish

I always use multi Finnish now block out the tapes then a nice tight coat then lay it in. Its great for board work I haven't used board Finnish in years. Hope this helps Andy AMD Plastering

Most plasterers multi finish&you always apply two coats the first coat the undercoat&the second is the finish coat

BOARD FINNISH & MULTI FINNISHARE EXACTLY THE SAME TO USE, BOARD FINNISH IS GENERALLY USED ON PLASTERBOARD, MULTI ON BACKING COATS FOR BEST RESULTS USE TWO COATS ,APPLY THE FIRST COAT AS SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE ,FLATEN OFF WITH A CROSS TROWEL ,THEN APPLY SECANDCOAT SMOOTHER hOPE THIS HELPS DAVE DS PLASTERERS

Hi Howard Thistle board finish is specifically made for plasterboard. Where Multifinish is made for not only plasterboard, but can be applied to other wall surfaces, and backing coats. For the best result,all surfaces that require plaster finish.Two coats are recommended. Regards Mark Keeley ( google = MKPRS )
