If possible put your fingers underneath the area of the syphon that the part has sunk into. With your fingers underneath try to push the assembly up. This will only work sometimes, otherwise you will need to remove the syphon.

hi,if the shaft has broken then you have to t\ake out the syhpon assembly,if it hasn't and is made of metal try a magnet to pull it back up,it will work under water,hope this helps
