Smelly plugholes

Posted by Lorraine Simpson, on
Hi, the plug holes in our upstairs, bath and basin are often smelly, even more so after it has rained. I regularly use a plughole un-blocker but this doesn;t seem to work for long. Any ideas what it could be or how to solve it?

Hi, there could be many reasons for the smells, Are the waste outlets from the plug hole waste exposed to main drains? The trap on the waste could have residue? Is the water running away? residue build up. Cross contamination from exposed, residue in waste pipes/ traps or drain? Good Luck Steve
