Which boiler?

Posted by Jenny Leyland, on
We are moving in to a 5 bedroom house with two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. We need a new boiler but don't know whether to pick a combination or unvented system. Did quite a bit of reseach online but plumbers are telling me different things. Any thoughts?

You would be looking to fit an unvented hot water system going by the size and water use assumption, of your property size; 1200 to 1600 unvented hot water cylinder along with a 32kw system boiler incorporated. You will also have to get a diagnostics on your gas inlet supply size to your property, depending on placement of your boiler and other factors including pre existing gas appliances. You are best going for the more reliable of manufacturers. JIRELAND PLUMBER

Hi Jenny. The market is awash with new systems in my opinion for a hassle Free installation and ongoing reliability You should put the larger part of your budget towards the manufacturer rather than the system ....an unvented cylinder can always be installed at a later date if your budget is able too a sealed system with an unvented cylinder would more than cover your requirements
