Does a tradesman need to disclose to the customer what part he needs to order?

No..he doesn't need to disclose anything Steve...what you should be doing is asking them?

We always show our customers the bill from the wholesaler . We only charge cost price including VAT . Our profit is from the vat element which we claim back . Contractors have to be totally Transparent these days . Happy Customers mean repeat business . Happy Christmas !

Yes if you are paying for them though doesn't have to give the price he paid, as most tradesmen get discounts from there suppliers based on the amount he spends there, he can however quote you the retail price
