Hi there Shuva, your shower tray can be installed straight on top off tile, as long as the waste supply is available, in this case you will need to install a risen tray. I hope this helps. JIRELAND PLUMBER

Sorry I forgot to add about the shower tray installation in my ensuite in the loft conversion, is it normal to install shower tray directly on top of tiled floor, even though there is hole in floor to allow waste drainage?
Also which is best method of installation; on bed of mortar or riser kit?
I know I should trust my builder but would rather have it done right and properly if possible the first time to avoid issues and comeback. I hear different advice and I am sure there are different ways of doing things...
