Sink fitting

Posted by David Willie, on
I've had a new kitchen installed and there have been a few issues that have needed rectifying (the installation wasn't the best) one thing I've noticed is the sink. The plumber couldn't find the clips, which I have now found, and so the sink was only installed with silicone and no clips. It's a standard stainless steel drop in and the worktop is laminate. My question is should the clips have been used or will the sink be fine with just the silicone. If not will it need to be redone and how big of a job is this?

The clips are a part of the sink and do hold it in place tighter on the underside. Silicone ideally seals the sink from water ingress of course this helps hold it in place but I would have the clips installed to be sure. Lewis Manor roofing repairs
