Entry Pipework to Mira Event XS Power Shower

Posted by Olly Arie, on
I am installing an Mira Event XS power shower. The unit has entry for Hot and Cold either from the top or bottom. My pipework rises up from floor height inside a stud partition and exits the wall horizontally. I want to connect a 90 degree elbow and a short section of 15mm pipe so the pipe enters the shower from the top (pipework will be inside the unit this way). This will create an "n" in the pipework. Will this cause an airlock or will the head of water + pump work any air out? Alternatively one can enter from underneath the shower but pipework will be exposed this way.

Oliver... install the shower as per manufacturers instructions. The top and bottom entry points are designed for this reason: if the hot and cold feeds drop, use the top entry points, and so if they rise from below the unit, use the bottom entry points. It’s not complicated really, fairly straightforward I hope this helps! J Ireland Plumber
