We have a loft conversion which is always cold, takes ages to heat up and we worry we are losing heat - what can you suggest we do?

Hi Nikky, To insulate you have two options, you can either take the roof off and insulate over the rafters with a thermal quilt or insulation boards, or inter rafter insulation which means taking the ceilings down and insulate between the rafters, the secondary option is most probably the cheaper but the first option will give a better solution to your problem. Kind regards Paul. Total roofing care.

Did the guys doing the loft conversion insulate? If not then you need to insulate between the plasterboard and the roof. Various types of insulation available. Price will vary depending on how and what insulation is used?

What would you like to do now?
