Hi Sam, It is hard to say whether the roofer should have noticed, sometimes when pricing up works and we suggest extra works that need to be done it can sometimes reflect badly on us. If the roofer has carried out re-tiling a roof I would of thought that new lead would have been appropriate. Was the lead work quoted for in the quotation? Once scaffolding goes up you check everything including clearing gutters and painting maintenance. People don't like to hear of extras as Paul said but We have to suggest the whole lot gets done as necessary
