To repoint ridge tiles do you need a scaffold erecting around the house to do this.How long to do the job. And once done how long should the repointing last

Hi Paul. It depends on the roofer, some may choose or need scaffolding some can be done off of a roof ladder. It depends on how many ridge are on the roof, if just re-pointing should be done in a day. If the tiles are re-bedded it will last longer than if just re-pointed.
