I have a garage roof that needs urgent repair/replacement but is part of Listed Building, no LBC required but needs planning consent (6-8wk), what can be done?

From my experience emergency repairs to prevent further damage are acceptable, But a suitable covering does sound the safest option as Paul suggests.

Hello Graham, Planning permission can be obtained retrospectively, some local authorities have small teams who will visit the site and give you advice prior to application. Also if you are replacing like for like you shouldn't have any problems. Call the department and fingers crossed you'll find a helpful planning officer! Cheers, Craig
