Fibreglass flat roof

Posted by Lesley McMahon, on
I had a fibreglass flat roof put on my extension in December. At the time we were having a lot of rain, the day the roof was put on it was a dry. I noticed two holes in the roof last week and the rain has been coming through the ceiling. The roofer has been back and stuck patches on the roof over the holes. They look like big elastoplast, they're the same colour and material as the roof material, just big patches. Is this an acceptable fix, given the roof is only 3 months old?

Hi Lesley it doesnt sound like you have had a good quality job here, it should be ok but fibreglass installations during adverse weather conditions are never recommended and patch repairing at 3mths old? . the problem lies in the fact these materials are avalable to all with either none or minimum amounts of training, always seek out quality time served firms and check up on their referrals.
