We want to have all of our slate roof re tiled using the existing slate. We currently have loft insulation that was put in a few years ago. Some roofers have told us we need a Building Application for the council to check the insulation is correct whilst others have said you only need this if you are having new insulation fitted. We are very confused. Please help!!
