I would go for the structural engineer to be on the safe side then a carpenter to carry out the work
Supporting struts within the roof

Who do i need to inspect the supporting struts within the roof? is a roofer the right person or a structural engineer more appropriate?
my house survey has reported that 'distortion can be seen to the supporting struts within the roof' and i want it checked out and also possibly a quote for the job but not sure who i should be approaching.

Hi Chris, A structural engineer would be needed first to calculate what strengthening and supports are required. Then a joiner/roofer would be needed to carry out these works. Hope this helps. Trevor
