Unsatisfactory work

Posted by Carole Newman, on
My trader has done the work and been paid. The roof still leaking and he does not return my calls to come back and repair the damage

Hi Carole This is a common mistake of our customers: - Give the work craftsman who are not registered on our site, artisans who do not have recommendations, photographs of previous work - Usually the customer does not understand that: professional and high-quality work and guarantee work will be more cost , than the cost of repairs. The only advice to turn to other craftsmen whose highest rating that would make repairs , this is priority now. sorry i cant give better advise Regards Sergejs

You should always check your roofer out before giving him the job follow up on past jobs he has done

If you were given a guarantee you should contact them via a text to their mobile and in writing to their registered address giving them a time limit to rectify the problem otherwise you will contact Trading Standards.

priority now is to get some one who can rectify the leak , and then email the the other trader to refund you some of the money.

Hi Carole, the best thing to do first is a recorded letter that has to be signed for, trading standards will also give you good advise but i feel it could end up in small claims court and after all that it would probably be cheaper for you to pay a reputable contractor to put the work right, sorry i cant give better advise. Regards Tim.
