I've got water seeping in down one side of a disused chimney.
Only the top of the chimney from the loft to where it goes through the roof is left - the rest was removed many years ago.
About a year ago I had my builder replace the slab capping it off on the top as we thought this was how water was getting in (previously it was capped with concrete which was crumbling). Now I believe that the flashing is faulty on one side of the chimney, allowing water in. I can't see this side of the chimney as it's the side that faces the opposite direction to the nearest window.
How big a job is it to repair this? The chimney is relatively easy to access from a flat roof.
Many thanks
Tom
