Can gravel be put on top of GRP roofing - if so how is it done

Posted by Sylvia Rogan, on
A GRP garage roof installed in the summer did not have a fall allowed when re boarded. As a result there is pooling of water (approx. 2/3rd of roof) that does not drain away. the solution was to put gravel on so we could not see the water as it is overlooked by us. How should this be laid to prevent damage to the roof when walking on it to clean windows and what would be used to prevent displacement of gravel. Is this the best solution?

DARREN PRITCHARD

the roof should have been built with a firing before being reboarded to allow a fall in regards to the chipings thats just causing problems as u dont now wat thickness the grp roofing system is and could form holes. many thanks darren
