Roofing- wooden clading and flashing

Posted by david walker, on
We live in a terraced property our neighbour has a leak in her attic coming from the roof area- we have no damp or water issues ourselves - does it sound like our adjoining wall- clading and flashing on our roof could be causing her property to leak or is this rare as it would be happening to us too?

Hi David We always recomend to post a job on main website because some of a job needs to be seen before any advice is given. Our service is free of charge with no obligation quote and our tradesmans are happy to help with every aspects of jobs. I would strongly recomend to post a job on Rated People home page then 3 companies will get in touch then you would be able to choose the right person as you would receive an e mail with a link to tradesman account where you would see a pictures and you will read revious from previous customers. I hope this will help Best regards Rafal

Hi david, if the either of you have a had a new roof recently then it can tend to be leaking where the tiles meet which means they haven't been sealed properly with a grp trough underneath them. It could also be if there's a chimney present and the lead work isn't pointed properly water can be getting there and travelling into next doors side. If there's no visible tiles/slates missing on your side of the roof then I wouldn't worry about it. Hope this is of help Chris @ SUTS roofing and building ltd
