Roof tiles

Posted by Alison Knagg, on
I have been advised that our roof needs replacing, it is a tiled roof and the original roof is still on the house, the house was built in the 1920s. If the old tiles are taken off and re-used on certain parts of the roof (the undamaged ones) would these last as long as a new tile (they are the rosemary style tile), or am I best getting completely new tiles on the whole of the roof and if this is the case which tiles are the best ones to have?
