Bangs in loft space

Our 1930s semi has loud noises in loft spaces almost nightly for a week. We've ruled out creatures & pipes and are concerned about timbers. The weather has turned autumnal but in 10 years we've never had this before. Should I get the roof examined urgently?

I would recommend having a roofer check your roof out. Maybe if a section is damaged there could be wind getting into the loft space causing the bang.... hard to say with out getting it inspected....most roofers will give a free roof check so there is nothing to lose joe
