Hi john This is very common problem of lots of roofs in the uk The most common resolve would be to re bed and repoint both ridge tiles and apex edging Make shore there re bedded as buttering over will not last long A more permanent solution for the ridge tiles would be a dry ridge system that involves no cement and a long term guarantee but please ask an expert on weather the roof would be suitable As for the apex a more permanent solution would be upvc dry verge caps and that also involves no cement And again please have it looked at to make shore this is suitable for your roof I hope this helps John lee Roofsmart systems ltd
