my home has a chimney that it is not used for many years (there is not fireplace). From the loft I can see a gap around it so, once in a while the water filters and the is a leak. As I don't need it, I guess that I can just removed it. How much would it cost to remove it (or at least remove the breath over the roof) ? Is there a cheaper way to fix the leak without redoing the flashing and repointing the whole chimney and ?
