Roof replacement

Posted by Jane Elwine, on
I have put in for a replacement roof, have the materials and scaffolding etc. Have absolutely no idea on how much labour etc costs. If you don’t put a fair price down, no one contacts you but if you have absolutely no clue as to what to expect to be charged, it’s unfair to then get no responses. Can you at least let people who aren’t knowledgeable in any of the trades get some clue as to costing and a vague idea of what to expect? Thanks

without sounding funny it's very difficult to put a 'vague' costing for a new roof..there are hundreds of factors like type of slate/tile ,access equipment, amount of rubbish, amount of leadwork, size of roof and wether any joinery work is needed...so having said that our roofs start from a few hundred pounds to tens of thousands of pounds..hope this helps
