We had a flat roof extension around 2 years ago with a rubber membrane roof and skylight. We have had a few instances where the roof is seemingly leaking, and doing so around the joints of the rubber roof and the skylight. I (and our initial builder) have tried to seal the joins with all purpose sealant but it seems it hasn’t worked. What solutions are available? Is there an alternative liquid sealant that could be applied across the joins or even the entire roof? Is it best to have the roof re done, perhaps with tar and felt? I’m just looking to see out options.
