Use EPS polystrene as loose fill ceiling insulation

I am doing a new build and I have used ICF to build my walls. I have lots of (EPS) polystrene insulation blocks left over. Someone suggested crushing these blocks to create loose fill insulation which I could then use in my ceiling instead of rockwool insulation. Is this a suitable alternative and would it achieve similar levels of thermal efficiency?
