I am due to have my roof redone, old slates removed and cleaned, new baton, new membrane etc but the roofer has just asked if I want new tiles on instead and he said he's not sure why he didn't offer it in the first place. What is the best option, original slate or new tiles? He said redland mini stonewall or profiled majour.
