We are adding a 4m long dormer (part of a 2 story extension) to the side of our property and are deciding between a flat roof or a pitched 'up and down' roof. The 'up and down' roof will look more attractive but I am more concerned about cost difference and noise difference (in heavy rain) between the two - any advice?
