Debris Clearance

Posted by Alison Dennis, on
Having had a new bathroom fitted I am left with a bath and about a dozen bags of broken tiles, and old flooring etc. I am 74 and my disabled partner is 82 and we cannot get these items to the tip ourselves. I assumed at the outset that the plumber would clear it all away but he is not allowed at the tip. Please help us with a reasonable quote from a man with a licence and a van. Thank you.

This is unfortunate and the trades person should have explained to you at the time that they could not remove the waste. For trades people to remove waste and carry to the skip or dump, a trade carrier licence has to be registered. Due to the circumstances I would have thought that the trades person would at least help you out with removal, whether a local contact or with a skip. I hope this gets sorted for you. I would advise in the future that these areas of works are questioned before works commenc. JIRELAND PLUMBER
