Check a company claiming to be Checkatrade

How do I check whether company, who claims to belong, is telling the truth? You have changed your system, I am not impressed!

Andy... just to make you aware this webssrvice Rated People do not have any professional business ties with Checkatrade. Tradespeople use this service to gain more work and likewise consumers use this to gain quality Tradespeople. If a tradesperson on this claims that they are a member of the other useful web service Checkatrade. As a consumer you will be able to search for their profile via that service. If they do not belong to Checkatrade and are advertising that they are, whether it with their Rated People profile, google search or a verbal confrimation to yourself, I can only state that this is a severe breach of professionalism and trust. I would then thus ‘stay well clear of them’. Unfortunately there are bad, ‘so called’, people out there claiming to have experience and expertise within their chosen field, qualified and insured. This is far from the case. Trust me, I know, I clean up and fix their work on a regular basis! I am not on Checkatrade or any other of these trade check websites, I have never tried them, I don’t need to. I have my card and paperwork at hand in the likelihood a customer needs to see confrimation. I suggest you ask if unsure when taking any or big work on! I hope this helps!
