Too soon to say as they have only been once but I can't see a problem. They were the only people to apply but I am quite happy for them to work for me.

Was a bit wary with these tradespeople as a previous customer had "issues" with their work. Nevertheless this job was for my mother and, as they responded quickly and politely, with the lowest quote by far, we decided to give them a chance. Very hard workers who not only moved all the furniture and ripped up the carpet and underlay as included in their quote but had to return to finish the cover-up of an erstwhile tangerine ceiling! I was well satisfied with their work and Mum is still over the moon and eager to finish off with a new carpet. Thank you HH and we will be in touch if we need more work completed.

AVOID at all costs. The painters promised the job would take 3 days but took 5. They marked my carpets, glass and woodwork with paint promising to fix (still waiting). They put the lining paper the wrong way (should be horizontal) leaving 1 inch gaps between sheets showing old wallpaper through. Are too busy on "next" job to come back and fix. I have now had to pay £400 to get it back to the original state before they touched it. I AM CURRENTLY TAKING THEM TO COURT. AVOID. There names are Jo and Fiona (two females) who are not painters. Trust me

DO NOT GO NEAR THEM. Their names are FIona and Jo (Two ladies), they have cost me £400 more to get the house back to the original position before they started where I have had to hire a professional cleaning and painting company. I AM CURRENTLY TAKING THEM TO COURT. AVOID AT ALL COST. Only reason for 1/2 point is because it wont allow you to give them zero or negative numbers or I would

On behalf of A Helping Hand, myself (Fiona) and Jo would like to take this opportunity to reply to the above feed back from Mr McKaveney. We have been operating for 4 years and in that time have never had a complaint. We have built our company on the basis of word of mouth, reputation and references. Mr McKaveney requested us to apply lining paper to wallpaper then an emulsion finish. We advised that painting the current paper would be a preferable option and a better finish.

He chose to ignore our advice.. He was also told the job would take 5 days as the hallway was large and over 3 levels. There were marks on the carpets from Mr McKaveney plastering over light fittings which he blamed us for along with paint on the stained glass in the ceilings which was cream in colour and we were using white paint. Mr McKaveney also requested 2mm gaps in the lining paper, we disagreed with this but he insisted that was we comply, so we did.

On completion of the job, we hoovered and ensured the hallway was tidy, Mrs McKaveney said she was pleased with the job and paid us in cash, she was going out and told us not to bother with dusting and cleaning the bannisters as they just needed a wipe and she would do it on her return.

We also told them to call us over the next few days if there were any snagging issues and that we were available all day on the Tuesday.We were called on Tuesday evening, which was to late as we had other work commitments. Mr McKaveney then became arrogant and intimidating

He claimed he spent 4 hours cleaning our mess then claimed he paid £400 for cleaning, then £400 for snagging work to be carried out. We did ask him to get 3 quotes for the work to be repaired to his requirements and we would assess them and choose 1 to carry out the work as we now were uncomfortable with the idea of returning to the property. He declined our offer.

We would hope that any potential customer would refer to our other ratings from previous customers. We guarantee all our work and can provide numerous refrences from regular clients from both domestic and commercial backgrounds,including Cottier's in Glasgow's West End and the BBC's River City.
