Wooden Doors - Internal
He was pleasant and friendly - had the talk. He was on time and seemed to be knowing what to do. I'm not sure i got value for money. There were places where the skirting joints were not done properly and i had to point this out to get them corrected. There were large gaps between joints, and the wall and the skirting (understandable as not all walls are straight) but the gaps were not filled in by the trades person. He used my tools, without asking and managed to blow the fuse on my sander and didnt tell me. He also put a nail through the skirting board into the socket wire - which blow the downstairs electrical circuit - again he did tell me. He wasnt bothered about coming back to fix the skirting with the nail. Everyone knows, you shouldnt put a nail/screw into a wall directly beneath a socket/electrical point. He also took longer than he said the job would take. I wouldnt recommend him. I guess i didnt get value for money.

This rating is totally untrue. From the outset it was clear that the customer wanted the work for nothing and complained from the moment I walked on site. I fitted the skirtings with adhesive and due to the untrue walls, the gaps needed filling at the end of the fitting. The customer complained about the gaps half way through the job, before it was even completed! She also called me out at 8 pm to rectify a nail through a cable - after she had banged a nail into the cable herself and had no intention of paying for my call out. I did not use her tools - let alone burn out her sander - I have all my own tools! If indeed her sander was burned out - perhaps it was one of the other tradesmen on site!
