About Boyd Building and Maintenance

We are a small construction company based in South Manchester. We offer a number of services including; refurbishments, extensions, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms, plastering and tiling. All our contractors are independently registered for gas-safe plumbing and NICEIC registered electrical work.

We had Jay build a partition wall in our house. He did a great job and handled all the organisation very well. We will definitely be using him again. We recommend him to anyone who is after a competent tradesman.

Bathroom fitter

Very poor service. Jay fitted a towel radiator which was too small for the bathroom and so the bathroom is always cold. He also fitted a water pump which was not fit for purpose and has now broken. I have contacted him about these problems and he has so far refused to admit liability or fix the issue. He is also very arrogant. Terrible tradesman i feel sorry for anyone who uses him

Jay and his team were excellent. I live in London and the work was being carried out in Manchester. Jay kept me updated with regards to all the going ons and managed by expectations. I had many many many questions via email and phone. Jay was patient and very thorough. The quality of work is excellent and the estimates provided in terms of time taken to cost was spot on! I would recommend Jay to friends and everyone else. I intend to use him again when I have my kitchen done. Good luck and good job Jay.

The job took a little longer than expected, only because their previous job ended up with additional work that had to be finished so in the early part of the work, they were doing half days rather than full days. We realised there was a small leak in the toilet aftetr they left but they came back the next day to fix it.

finding someone good/reliable to do a job let alone do it professionaly and finish it can be very stressful FIRST MEETING WITH JAY i was put completly at ease. he and his team have done an excellent job of our two bathrooms. jay is always available to answer any questions, suggest ideas and just get on with the work. his team is always on time very polite trustworthy always clean up everyday.tom the bathroom fitter is a maestro and a very hard worker. from now will be giving all our building work to jay.

Absolutely first class service from start to finish from Jay and his team. Before work started Jay was a massive help, really detailed quote which he changed at least 8 times with my various changes. It made planning a lot less stressful When work started, Tommy and his colleagues were an absolute pleasure, not a problem at all having them in the house. Again really helpful, couldn't recommend any higher. The end result is better than I could have imagined. I would recommend Boyd Building 100% to anyone.
