Complete Bathroom Refurbishment
We commission Alex of Construction United in November 2011 to take on a small domestic project for a bathroom refurbishment. It was the first time we have used a tradesman through rated people and I can safely say that we were not disappointed. Alex came across to us as someone with a naturally friendly honest and professional approach. He offered us a competitive rate to do the job and following his appointment, both he and his father started on time, and worked hard to the best of their abilities to deliver the project on time with little cause for concern. I must say they were very patient and coped well with all the late design changes we through at them. At the end of the project payments were simple and organised; Alex presented my mother with a lovely bunch of flowers as a thank you for all the cups of tea and coffee, which we thought was a kind and considerate gesture. He has defiantly been a good find and someone we will recommend and use again on future projects. To sum up using an axiom by C.R Ashbee: ‘Standard of excellence in the industrial arts acts in competitive industry as Gresham’s law acts in coinage. The bad coins tends to drive out the good product, the unskilled workman and machine tend to drive out the skilled craftsman’ Fortunately for us this did not hold true because we used Alex. D.S. Vladimir (Alex) is a charming guy and did a really good job for us. We are very pleased with the suggestions he made for our small bathroom refurbishment. It now looks fab and we are very happy. He understands the importance of doing a good job, being reliable, trustworthy and cleaning up after him. Vladimir is trying to establish a reputation for himself and we think he has got off to a great start.
