Mr White-Miller arrived promptly, was courteous & affable & well-presented in himself. He respected my home. He was very knowledgeable about heritage building techniques. He took the initiative to check our whole roof, front and back before he left, and he checked inside the loft. I was not surprised to learn that he had repaired a Tudor chimney for The National Trust. We had a very pleasant chat over a cup of tea at the end of the job. I hope to call upon Mr White-Miller again, should the need arise.

David is a lovely chap and his work is excellent and very competitive. He's already been back to help us with another couple of jobs. We have recommended him to friends and family.

David attended and quickly identified the problem. He took photos of the roof so we could see close up what needed fixing. David then also agreed to complete another small reprinting job too. The work was completed within three working days. David has also been asked to quote for additional work. Thank you David

A gentleman. The problem was quickly spotted and photo's of the chimney fault taken to show me. The work was carried out a week later and the site left clean and tidy (plus more photo's of the finished work). Absolutely recommend Mr White-Miller, and will definitely approach him again for any building problems that occur in my house.

's question

I have had an extension built with a lean to roof at 12.5 pitch. The tiles used are actually for a minimum of 22 pitch and trying to fathom out the logic of him doing this (spec clearly states type to use) anybody stick up for him or us this clearly wrong ? It also looks as if they have also closed down the business

Hi The only tile to my knowledge that has been designed to be safely used at 12.5 pitch, is the Centurian. My advice is to have the roof retiled as soon as possible before you have the added problem of rainwater ingress. Best wishes David

How do you remove black marks on oak doors cause by plaster splash

Hi Paul I have encountered this problem before and found that rubbing very gently with 0000 wire wool was successful. A word of warning! Only use 0000 wire wool. this is will remove the black mark but not cut into the wood, courser wire wool will leave abrasive marks. Kind regards David
