First class work all the way !! David was excellent at communicating and keeping me up to date with the preparation beforehand. Come out on a Bank holiday and arrived on time and done an excellent job of fitting a new kitchen sink and taps Very conscientious and very tidy. I cannot recommend highly enough to anyone who needs plumbing work down or anything else. I will definitely be using his services again very, very soon. A top guy and an excellent worker. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!

Carpenter / Joiner

David was very good!! He came exactly at the time he said, completed the job efficiently and to a high standard. He cleaned up the mess from the job afterwards and gave me advice during the job on the integrity of the door. I'd highly recommend him for future jobs.

David was very professional, turned up on time (standards have got so low now that this is a plus) He asked me exactly what i wanted, and consulted me if he had to change anything around. His work was clean and showed great skill. a very good plumber.

Shuva Dey's question

Hi, I am having a loft conversion done and builders have dry-lined study walls. They have skimmed but I can't see faint lines of the boards beneath in some areas although the wall is smooth and flat to touch in most area although some slight indentations in some places. Also in some places the joint tape mesh outlines can be seen. The skim looks quite thick as far as my untrained eye i.e. 3-4mm or so. This doesn't look right to me and builders have said this is fine. Is this acceptable? Comments from plasterers most welcome! Thanks.

As regards to sam's comment he is right in saying the skrim should not be showing above plaster. But i believe in your case it it's smooth and flat, it's just the colour the plaster has dried gives the impression it's showing. David D J Barwick Builders

Hi shuva, it is normal for the outlines of boards to show through the plaster before it is painted as long it's not the actual board showing and the wall is smooth and flat. David D J Barwick Builders

Which type of tradesman can apply sealant to bath surround. Small job. 2 hours. Remove existing sealant & replace with new.

Honestly you might pay a little more but a mastic specialist finish really is second to none . David, D J Barwick Builders
