It was a joy to commission David. After an initial meeting at my home where I explained what I wanted. Suggestions were made which clarified my thoughts and designs drawn up. Once accepted I was regularly informed regarding the progress. The date given for completion was met. The bookcase is magnificent and far exceeded my expectation. It is of high quality craftsmanship. After building the bookcase on site everything was cleared away. The price was exactly that quoted and worth every penny. I am very

Top job from David and we're extremely happy. Great quality craftsmanship at a sensible price. Unfortunately David was quite a way behind schedule but we were happy to wait and glad that we did. The cabinets are definitely a positive addition! David will be back to quote for more work shortly!

A lovely man with an evident passion and pride in what he does. Probably needs to take a day off every now and then though - will recommend to anybody in the market.

David built me bespoke fitted wardrobes a book case with cupboards and a dining table to match which are all of the highest standard. The furniture is made off site so the fitting process is quick and straightforward. In fact I was so pleased that they are coming back this weekend to fit a second wall unit with cupboards and deliver a coffee table that will all match the other new furniture. Very pleased.

David has created two beautiful fitted wardrobes in our bedroom. Completed to a very high standard. The work took longer than we originally thought but this was due to issues which arose when work started and David worked very hard to complete the task. Would recommend to others.

Following the initial visit from this company we had no hesitation in giving Harcourt Cabinet Makers our business, the enthusiasm and design ideas shown to us by the owner David was the main reason, he delivered everything he promised, quality, competitive price, design features and he delivered on time. He carries out all the work himself and this is reflected in the finished product which is of a very high standard both in design and craftsmanship. We would highly recommend this company.

The wardrobes David has designed, made and fitted are absolutely brilliant. We are delighted with them. David takes immense pride in his work and has been a pleasure to deal with. His experience and expertise means you are recieve the complete package, from design to the end result, which gives you an excellent customer experience. He has also fitted coving to match the wardobe which also looks fantastic. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him.

I am planning to put up a sort of floating TV cabinet on my wall, so picture maybe a shelf with heavy things on it, standard UK walls, mainly plasterboard, would it be a better idea to attach it to the wooden beams behind the wall? And if so, how would I find them?

The wooden frame to my rear garage door has rotted near to the ground - for about 8 inches. Need to replace the rotten bit please.

Hi You will need to have the have the rot cut away and into solid wood Once this has been removed, new timber can be added Please note a flat but joint is not recommended as is not strong Using resin glue and not plain wood glue is recommended Treat the new wood and build up the amount of paint or stain Also if you can avoid end grain being exposed at the bottom of the door this will help moisture not being drawn into the timber Regard David
